About Kaziranga

Kaziranga National Park is a renowned wildlife sanctuary located in the state of Assam, India, It covers the Golaghat and Nagaon districts and is located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River.
The park was established in 1905 as a reserve forest to conserve the dwindling population of Indian one-horned rhinoceros. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. The park comprises vast grasslands, wetlands, and forests, making it an ideal habitat for diverse wildlife. It also has four major rivers flowing through it: Brahmaputra, Diphlu, Mora Diphlu, and Mora Dhansiri.
Kaziranga is famous for its population of the Indian one-horned rhinoceros. It is also home to a significant number of tigers, elephants, wild water buffaloes, and various species of birds. The park is a biodiversity hotspot and supports a wide variety of flora and fauna.
